The Power of Articles And Article Marketing In Your Business
Today I want to share a quick example of the power of article marketing.
As you may know, I am an Expert Author with Ezine Articles and have published over 100 articles over the past year.
Earlier today, I received my monthly articles activity report from Ezine Articles and I found the results quite interesting.
So … I want to share a quick example that illustrates why I strongly endorse the use of articles as part of your Internet marketing strategy for your business.
On March 24, I published my first article in support of my Xocai Healthy Chocolate business.
So to back up, earlier that week I created a new blog at http://www.EatingChocolatePays.com. Once I had the basic blog set up and a couple of information pages, I decided it was time to make a blog post.
So here is what I did.
I wrote an article which I posted on my blog and titled it “Nutrition Facts Chocolate” which was a keyword phrase I decided I wanted to target. It took me about 20 minutes to write the article which for the most part was off the top of my head based on a number of other chocolate facts articles I read. So my total writing and prep time was probably around 45 minutes.
After I posted the article on my blog, I then submitted the same article to Ezine Articles. This time, I retitled the article “Chocolate Facts – Why Dark Chocolate Is Good For You”.
My article was approved and published next day … which was the 24th of March. So it was basically live for one week in the month.
Here’s the cool part … in the month of March, that article received 104 views and 17 click throughs to my blog.
So 17 people who read my article that week (a 16.4% click through rate) decided that my article was compelling enough that they chose to click through to my blog. And when they did, they had the opportunity to learn more about healthy chocolate and the opportunity attached to it.
Did any of them choose to get started? No. But, so what?
Sooner or later, someone will.
I’ve done absolutely no marketing or promotion of my blog or the business. But from one article I drove 17 targeted visitors to my opportunity page for free in the first week.
And that article is now out there and continuing to work for me 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
To this point, I’ve only submitted the article to Ezine Articles — I haven’t used any other article directories. But I could. There are hundreds of directories out there.
So now that I’ve shared this little example, what do you suppose could happen if I were to submit a new article every day for 30 days? How many visitors might I attract to my website?
Based on this example, are you ready to implement articles as part of your Internet marketing strategy?
I hope so.
