Your Network Marketing Success Story: How To Tell It

If you find yourself struggling to get the results you are after in your business (and in your life), then here is a question for your to consider: What story are you telling yourself and how might that story be impacting your ability to attract what you want?

The stories you tell yourself play a vital role in your ability to attract the leads, prospects, sales and customers you desire in your business — and in your life. If you’ve been a student of personal success for any length of time, you will recognize this as a common message in so much of the self help material that has been published.

For example, it’s a fundamental teaching of Abraham and Jerry and Esther Hicks, in their book Money and the Law of Attraction — if you want a better life, start telling yourself a better story.

And so that’s why the stories you tell yourself are so vitally important. It is the tone and overriding message within your story that sets the level of vibration you are emitting and the level of expectation you have at a subconscious level. By law of attraction, the better you get at consistently telling yourself a better story, the more rapidly you get to live it.

Bob Proctor, one of the featured teachers in the film The Secret, often speaks about the idea of living your life as if you are the star of your own movie. Why settle for the role of an extra? Afterall, it’s YOUR MOVIE, so why wouldn’t you choose to write yourself into the lead role?

Do you feel the ring of truth in that statement? If so, then examine your own patterns and recognize where you may be guilty of telling yourself a story that minimizes yourself and your own role in your story. What story are you telling yourself today?

As said earlier, it shouldn’t be surprising at all that telling yourself a better story is sage advice. It’s prevalent as a theme in all of the self help teachings.

One of the books that really highlights this priniciple is The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles. This book serves as the basis of a number of derivative self improvement programs, including the Inspired Science of Getting Rich Program.

In his book, which was published in 1910, Wattles talks about the importance of thinking in the “certain way”. He discusses the importance of directing your will internally and holding the thought of what you want with full clarity and purpose — regardless of appearances.

In other words, keep telling yourself the better story of where you’re going.

As Wattles explains, thoughts are real things and you create through your thought. So by deliberately focusing on what you want and where you are going, you are framing the story you are telling yourself. And then you get to watch the story unfold.

Bringing this back to your business, what then is the story you are telling yourself with respect to your home business? Take care to develop your picture of where you are going in your business, and start living that story — as the lead character in your own movie about you as the successful home business entrepreneur.

Attraction Marketing, Your Vibration Drives Your Network Marketing Success

As a successful attraction marketing professional, before you start into the activities of your day within your network marketing business, think about the things you can do to get yourself grounded and started well so that you approach your day in a fashion that is going to serve you well as you move forward in building your business.

When you first wake up in the morning, you want to “set” the level of vibration you carry into your day. The way you feel about yourself is going to determine the level of vibration you carry. You are about to discover one simple step you can take every day that will automatically help you feel good about yourself and raise your level of vibration.

As I’ve mentioned in past articles, one of the key principles that determines your level of success in your home business is your ability to “be the leader”. Your ability to be the leader starts with your mindset and preparation. One of the key aspects of mindset that matters as you go about beginning to build your business, has to do with your own level of vibration and the degree to which you create harmony and alignment with what you want.

One of the simplest steps you can take to accomplish this is to spend some time in the morning to “wrap you package”.

What does wrapping your package mean? It means taking the time to consider what you look like and how you have chosen to dress and groom yourself for the day.

How Good You Look Determines How Good You Feel

When you are working from home one of the great advantages is that can choose to work in your pyjamas all day if you want to. You literally can throw on your house coat, put on a cup of coffee, plop yourself down in front of your computer, place some advertisements and then get on the phone and start calling people.

But there’s something about that scenario to consider. If you are unshaven, undressed, haven’t bothered to have a shower and look out of sorts, when you look in the mirror how do you feel about yourself? Does the image you see match that of the successful you in your mind that makes you feel good, or do you start to feel a little bit negative about who you are, what you are and how you look?

The extent to which it doesn’t support your positive image of you, how do you suppose that translates into your level of vibration that you carry into everything else you do in your day, including when you are talking to your prospects?

A real simple tip you can apply that will help you feel better about yourself and which is going to help raise your vibration and make you more effective at what you do is this: take the time in the morning to groom yourself and make yourself look good.

Take the time to actually have a shower, get yourself dressed, and look good. Because when you look good, you feel good. And your level of vibration is automatically higher.

This is one of the very first steps you can take in your day to begin to align your vibration with the successful you, the CEO of you Inc., the ultimate professional home business and network marketing master that you aspire yourself to be. You can begin to tap into that person right away by simply taking the time at the beginning of your day to wrap your package the way you would expect someone who is successful to have their package wrapped.

Network Marketing Success Tips, Who Is On Your Board Of Directors?

Who do you rely upon for guidance and direction as you are building your network marketing or home business? Do you have a pool of advisors in place to assist you? If you don’t, here is a powerful technique you can use to start putting an advisory group in place and it’s a technique you can start using right now, regardless of the number of people you may know or have in your network.

Stepping back for a moment, in one of my previous articles I expressed the opinion that you own the responsibility for becoming your own guru in your network marketing business. The key point is that you need to take responsibility for your own decisions rather than relying upon someone else to make those decisions for you. However, that’s not to say you should do it all on your own. You still require guidance and advice from time to time to help you make the best decisions for your business.

Andy Andrews emphasizes the importance of having a Board of Directors

One of my favorite authors and speakers is Andy Andrews, and his book The Travelers Gift is a must read for any student of success. One of the key concepts Andy speaks about is the importance of having a personal Board of Directors.

A Board of Directors is a group of people who you can mastermind with and from which to seek counsel when it comes to areas of your business. They are there to advise you in the affairs of your business.

The question becomes who should you put on to your board of directors? With respect to your business, one of the key considerations is your income goals. It is said that your income will tend to approximate the average earnings of the five people you spend most of your time with. Let us suppose that your goal is to earn $1 million in the next 12 months. If that is the case who are people that you are going to put on your board of directors who are already earning $1 million or more in a year?

If you are serious about your goal then you want to identify those five people and place them onto your board. The cool thing about this is that they need not necessarily even be aware that they are a part of your board of directors. You can take counsel with them even if you have never met them.

For example, perhaps you would like to have Donald Trump on your board of directors. There are many ways to plug into Donald Trump and benefit from his experience. You can do that through books that he has written , audio he has recorded and interviews he has granted. These are all ways of tapping into and masterminding with a member of your board of directors even though you may never have a personal conversation.

What that means is that you are not limited in terms of who you can place on your Board of Directors. Indeed you can let your imagination run wild and really put a lot of creative thought into who you would like on your board. Once you have established your board of directors, the key is to ensure that you consult and meet with them regularly. Which ever medium by which you choose to use to do that, make a habit of plugging into their teaching and advice regularly.

You are not limited to applying this technique only to your business. Take the time to identify each of the key areas in your life where you would benefit from having a board of directors in place. For each area you have identified, start brainstorming the names of advisors you would like to have on your board. Then go about selecting the five people who are going to sit on that particular board based on the knowledge base and level of demonstrated competence for that particular subject area.

Network Marketing Success Tips, Your Success Does Not Depend Upon A Guru

Everywhere you turn it seems that there is another self proclaimed guru telling you they have what you need to make you successful in your life and in your network marketing business. If you just follow their system exactly, success will find you, but if you deviate at all, success will elude you. And with the prevalence of such advertising on the Internet and in the media, it’s easy to believe that you must find a guru to follow and that only by following a guru will you be successful. It’s all a load of baloney.

The truth is that no one else can ever make you successful — your success is ultimately up to you.

You must be willing to become your own guru.

There’s a saying that goes something like this: “In order to learn how to dance, you have to dance”. The only way for you to get good at something is to actually do it and to keep doing it repeatedly. There is no other way to gain the experience and to craft your own unique style that ultimately works for you. Success is a personal thing.

There is nothing wrong with finding a mentor or a coach to help guide you, but beware of the one who claims he has the magic dust you need in order to make you successful. More importantly, beware of the tendency to sucker yourself into believing your success depends upon anyone else and what they may claim to know. Your success only comes down to you and your own willingness to get out there and start dancing.

In network marketing, the most successful people are rarely if ever the so called gurus. The gurus may do a great job selling you their training systems, but they are not normally the ones with large, successful and enduring organizations. They’re too busy teaching their “system” which almost without exception adds extra complexity to what is inherently a simple business. And by adding complexity, it reduces the duplication within your team.

If you find yourself having little or no duplication in your business, or little success in terms of your own results, the bottom line is that you are guilty of a couple of things. You are making it too complicated which turns people away from wanting to get started with you. And you are spending too much time intellectualizing how to dance rather than actually dancing.

I need look no further than my own results to see that this is true. I’ve always had the tendency to want to enhance my credibility and to hold people by the hand to walk them through their start up and training. Yet time and time again, I discover that the more I focus my energy in that direction, the fewer results I see and the less people are proactive to just go out and “do it” for themselves.

The people who duplicate success on our team are always the ones who just “get out on the dance floor” and start dancing. They are the ones who don’t attempt to intellectualize everything and instead just get out there and figure it out. Our strongest personal successes come have always come the same way – where we’ve just gotten out on the floor, started dancing, and figured it out.
