Do you struggle to maintain your consistency and focus in your home or network marketing based business? Is that lack of consistency holding you back and preventing your from getting the results you really want? This is one of the most common home business killers and yet there are some basic, simple steps you can take to overcome your inconsistency and position your business to thrive.

Lack of consistency is a sure fire way to kill your business. Here’s how the typical cycle begins. You expend tremendous effort and energy to actually begin to build some momentum in your business. Even if you don’t immediately see it, you’ve begun to slowly get the train into motion. And then you stop.

Once you stop, it requires the same amount of energy to get things going again as it did the first time. And it can become extremely disappointing because you know you shouldn’t have stopped. Now it becomes very easy to start focusing on thoughts that don’t serve you well. Pretty soon you lapse into bad habits of thinking that reinforce negative beliefs about you and your network marketing business. This is when you’re likely to choose to quit. And so that is when you’ve failed.

Don’t do that to yourself. It requires far less effort and energy to keep the train in motion than it takes to get it into motion. So avoid the stops and starts, no matter what. Here are three simple steps to help you to stay consistent and focused in your business:

  1. Establish a daily schedule. Consistency starts with having a plan. You schedule is your daily plan. Establish your routine and ensure it includes focused time and energy during which you work on you network marketing business and only your network marketing business. Which days of the week do you plan to spend working on your business? How many hours each day? Doing what? How many leads will you generate? How many leads will you call? How many training sessions or calls will you participate in?
  2. Execute your schedule. Establish what it is and then stick to it every day of the week you intend to work your network marketing business. This is how you stay in integrity with yourself and build your consistency. Once you have determined your schedule of activities for each day of the week, cross-check it against the rest of the things you need to deal with in your life, and then simply do it. No excuses.
  3. Celebrate your daily wins. Keep track of each item you completed from your schedule today. Put a check mark beside it or write it down. At the end of the day, review your list and celebrate your daily follow-through as the success that it is. Congratulate yourself because you are now looking at sold evidence that you are in motion and in integrity with yourself and your business.
