Are You Leading You?

As you are building your network marketing business, who is leading you? Is it your mentor or up-line? Are there other leaders or trainers within your company or the industry that you are relying upon to lead you? Who is your leader when it comes to looking out for the best interests of your business? Does this sound like a set of trick questions? If so, that’s because you already realize that it is.

If you have been around network marketing (or any home business) for any length of time, you no doubt already realize that your success in your business comes down to. And, in fact, what someone is buying when the get started with or purchase from you isn’t your company, its products, or the system.

Rather they are buying you.

You Are The Leader

When people choose to get started with you in your business, it is because they are buying you as a leader who they can trust and follow. They are buying you as a mentor who can teach them how to be successful.

So consider this question: Who is going to follow you if you are not already clearly leading yourself?

Before you can lead anyone else, you have to be leading yourself. Not only will you then exude the confidence of a leader which will make you much more attractive to your prospects, but you will also be setting a positive example for everyone who joins your team. They will model you and become leaders of themselves. And that is exactly what you want to have happen.

So Be The Leader

Leading yourself is really quite simple. Dump the excuses. Stop looking for someone else to solve all of your problems. Stop waiting for someone to tell you what to do. Stop focusing on reasons why you can’t get started or why you are stuck.

Instead, look at what the other successful leaders are doing and start doing the same thing. Start taking action. Start attending the training calls or meetings. Start giving testimonials. Start calling your leads. Start being the leader.

One Simple Question To Get Unstuck

If you are ever stuck about whether or not you are being a leader, or about whether you are effectively leading yourself, ask yourself this one simple question. “Would I follow me?”

The answer is supposed to be “yes”. This is your business. So you are the Chief Executive Officer. You are the CEO of you. You are the wildly successful leader of your own business who is getting the massive results.

So how do you expect the CEO of you to behave? What do you expect the CEO of you to think? What do you expect the CEO of you to say? What do you expect the CEO of you to do? Tap into that CEO, be that CEO, and Lead yourself. You will be amazed how many people will be inspired to follow you. Then go about teaching them to do the same thing.
